Financial/Educational Assistance for Investigators in Training
Financial and educational assistance opportunities are available for those in training including dermatology residents, medical students, and post-doctoral fellows. The applicant must be registered for the AHRS 2025 Alopecia Summit. The financial and educational assistance is being provided through a grant from Veradermics.
For eligible applicants, each award will be $1,000 USD to help cover the applicant’s travel, hotel or other expenses, plus free meeting registration. Note: Recipients will be given a special code to use during the online registration process in order to redeem the complimentary registration fee. Recipients will be given a certificate at the Alopecia Summit.
Eligibility:
- The applicant must be a dermatology resident, medical or PhD student, or postdoctoral fellow.
- The applicant must register for the Alopecia Summit in person.
- If awarded, the recipient must submit valid receipts and documentation of expenses that total at least $1,000 USD after the Alopecia Summit and by the date indicated.
- The number of issued travel grants is limited to one per each academic, industrial, or clinical research group.
How to Apply:
Complete the online form by the deadline.
The following items will be requested:
- A statement from the applicant as to why and how attending the Alopecia Summit will aid in their career/aspirations in hair research (250 word maximum)
- Curriculum vitae uploaded in PDF format
- A letter of recommendation from applicant’s program chair
Dates:
- Deadline for application: November 7, 2025.
- Decisions made by AHRS and applicants notified by November 14, 2025.
- Receipts and documentation of travel expenses that total at least $1,000 USD must be submitted by December 22, 2025.
- Checks will be issued January 12, 2026.
